IT Training Academy Terms and Conditions and Code of Conduct

About the Program

The KAUST IT Training Academy is a strategic initiative operated by the Technology Enablement and User Experience Team in the KAUST Information Technology Department. The Academy provides practical, hands-on training in IT tools, platforms, and services to support digital skill development across the KAUST community, including staff, faculty, researchers, students, and service providers.

All training activities are delivered in alignment with KAUST Human Resources, Learning & Development Team, and support the university’s institutional learning and growth priorities.

Participation is voluntary and does not guarantee certifications, employment, or job placement.


Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By participating in any training session, you agree to the terms outlined on this page. These terms may be updated periodically.


2. Program Benefits

  • Access to in-person or virtual IT training sessions
  • Invitations to exclusive workshops and seminars
  • Early updates on new digital services or tools
  • Digital badges, certificates of completion, or participation letters when applicable

These benefits are non-transferable and may require a KAUST account.


3. Eligibility

The Program is open to individuals with an active KAUST affiliation. Some sessions may be limited to specific audiences.


4. Privacy and Communication

Participation is subject to KAUST’s data privacy standards. By enrolling, you agree to receive training-related communications. You may opt out by withdrawing from the Program.


5. Code of Conduct Compliance

All participants are expected to follow the IT Training Academy Code of Conduct listed below.


6. No Solicitation or Promotion

  • Do not promote external services or events
  • Do not distribute unapproved materials or marketing content

7. Use of KAUST Systems

  • Do not share restricted training materials without approval
  • Do not use training platforms for unauthorized activity
  • Do not attempt to bypass IT security controls

8. Program Changes and Termination

KAUST may update or cancel Academy offerings at any time. Reasonable notice will be provided when possible.


9. Feedback and Contribution

Feedback is welcome and may be used to improve the Program.

  • Participate actively
  • Avoid off-topic distractions

  • Complete your own work during exercises
  • Keep account credentials private

Be Collaborative

  • Encourage others
  • Ask questions in good faith
