Request a Power BI Workspace

KAUST users can request a dedicated Microsoft Power BI workspace for publishing, managing, and sharing organizational dashboards and reports.

What is Power BI?

Power BI is Microsoft’s interactive data visualization and business intelligence tool used to create dashboards, analyze data, and share insights across teams. At KAUST, users have access to three license types:

  • Power BI (Free): View-only access to content shared within workspaces
  • Power BI Pro: Create, share, and collaborate on reports with others in KAUST
  • Power BI Premium: Enhanced capacity for larger datasets and advanced enterprise features

To learn more about Power BI at KAUST and how licensing is handled, visit our Power BI service page.

Who can request?

Any member of the KAUST community with a KAUST email address (@kaust.edu.sa) — including students, faculty, staff, and researchers — is eligible to request a Power BI workspace.

  • Open a ticket via VITA
