Need a public or internal website for your department, service, or event? KAUST IT supports the creation of websites using Sitefinity—a flexible and modern web platform aligned with KAUST branding and accessibility standards.

How to Request a Sitefinity Website

You can submit your request by:

  • Opening a ticket via VITA
  • Calling the IT Service Desk:
    • From your desk phone: 910
    • From mobile: +966 (0)12 808 0910

Website URL Guidelines

The standard KAUST website format is:
Your-Website.kaust.edu.sa

Please ensure your requested URL follows KAUST's official naming policies as defined by the GBC Policies.

Website Ownership

You’ll need to provide:

  • Two content owners – a primary and backup contact who will manage the site
  • The name of the department that will officially own and maintain the website

Internal vs. External Publishing

Sitefinity websites may be:

  • Internal – Accessible only on the KAUST network or via KAUST VPN
  • External – Publicly accessible on the internet (requires GBC approval prior to launch)
