Service Is Fully Restored

Dear KAUST Community,

We are pleased to inform you that the IT outage affecting university services has been resolved, and all impacted systems are now fully operational.

The cause of the outage was a technical issue impacting an infrastructure component and has been fully addressed by our technical teams. Please rest assured that there was no indication of any security concerns or cyber threats during this incident.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as our teams worked diligently to restore services.

If you encounter any lingering issues or require assistance, please contact the IT Helpdesk on 900 or 012-8080900 and select the “IT” option, or log a ticket via our Chatbot https://chatbot.kaust.edu.sa/VITA or log a ticket via the self-service site: https://servicedesk.kaust.edu.sa.

Limited capacity for University call centers

Dear University Community,

The IT outage is still under investigation, and our teams are working diligently to resolve the issue.

Please note the following updates regarding contact options:

  1. Facilities Management Call Center
    The usual call center numbers (0128080959 or 959 internally) are available but with limited capacity for answering concurrent calls. If you experience difficulty reaching the team by phone, please try again, or use these alternative channels:
  2. IT Helpdesk
    The IT Helpdesk numbers are also available with limited capacity for concurrent calls. Please try again if the lines are busy.
