Update to KAUST Networks and Connectivity

We are implementing an important update to our network infrastructure, specifically the residential network service. This enhancement is designed to strengthen the security of KAUST’s academic, research and business data. By doing so, we aim to protect KAUST’s systems while maintaining appropriate access to resources for users of the campus residential network.

Where will this change take place?

The network update will apply to all campus residential networks. If you reside in any University campus residential neighborhood, your home network will be part of this change.

What is changing for you as a KAUST resident?

Starting February 13, infrastructure preparations will be carried out for a two-month period of technical assessment.

This change is designed to be non-disruptive and will not affect your work or overall user experience. If you face any issues during this time, please contact us through the usual channels:

IT Service Desk on 910 or 012-8080-910, or visit our walk-in-support desk during business hours. You can also log a ticket using our chatbot VITA at it.kaust.edu.sa (or vita.kaust.edu.sa if you are off campus).
