Planned Maintenance - Campus-wide Network Upgrade

KAUST Community,

KAUST IT will be performing planned maintenance activities this week to enhance network reliability and strengthen the security of KAUST’s Microsoft 365 environment.

1. Campus-wide Network Upgrade
WhenFriday, October 24, 2025, 9:00 AM – Saturday, October 25, 2025, 11:30 PM
ImpactNetwork equipment will be upgraded across campus and off-campus buildings (excluding residential neighborhoods). Each building may experience one short interruption (up to 20 minutes) affecting internet, Wi-Fi, IP phones, and other connected systems.
Action Required
  • Save your work in advance and plan for possible short connectivity interruptions.
  • Expect one brief outage (up to 20 minutes) during the maintenance window.
  • During the upgrade, internet, Wi-Fi, IP phones, and fire alarm systems in affected campus buildings will be temporarily unavailable.
