Planned Maintenance - Visitor Management System (VMS) Maintenance

KAUST Community,

Please find below the planned IT maintenance activities that may affect access to IT services. Kindly review the impact and follow the recommended actions to avoid any disruption.

KAUST Visitors Management System (VMS)

When: Thursday, December 11, 2025, 8:00 PM to Friday, December 12, 2025, 8:00 AM

Impact: KAUST VMS will be unavailable during this time to submit new business visits. There will be delays with KAUST Gate Access to enter/leave KAUST.

Action required:

For KAUST Community Members (with KAUST ID):

  • Carry your physical KAUST ID if possible.
  • Alternatively, take a screenshot of your Digital ID from KAUST Central or access it directly at vms.kaust.edu.sa/DigitalID.
  • To reduce gate delays, residents are encouraged to remain on campus during this period unless travel is essential.

For Business Visits:

  • New business visit requests cannot be submitted during the downtime.
  • Please submit all access requests ahead of time.
  • For urgent visitor needs during the outage, email VisitorCenter@KAUST.EDU.SA.
  • The Security Team at the Visitor Office (Gate 1) will assist with manual entry procedures.

Please note that Personal Visits will not be affected by the maintenance.
