Contact IT to request software →On April 30, 2026, the Amber software suite version 26 was launched. This represents a significant update which was released in April, 2024.
The Amber26 package adds the pmemd program, which resembles the sander (molecular dynamics) code in AmberTools, but provides (much) better performance on multiple CPUs, and dramatic speed improvements on GPUs.
Amber26 facilitates faster simulations (on parallel CPU or GPU hardware) and is distributed with a separate license and fee structure.
