EES (pronounced 'ease') is a general equation-solving program that can numerically solve thousands of coupled non-linear algebraic and differential equations. The program can also be used to solve differential and integral equations, do optimization, provide uncertainty analyses, perform linear and non-linear regression, convert units, check unit consistency, and generate publication-quality plots. A major feature of EES is the high accuracy thermodynamic and transport property database that is provided for hundreds of substances in a manner that allows it to be used with the equation solving capability.
Windows installation instructions
Kindly find the installer file at our shared SAN folder : https://softwaresolutions.kaust.edu.sa/NewApps/EES2022/setup_ees_acad.exe
Download the DFT file from this link:1. Copy and Save the 3225.dft to a temporary directory on user’s computer. Enclosed is DFT file, Donot modify any.
2. Delete all files in the EES directory (This step is must be performed if the application was installed earlier)
3. Run the setup_ees_acad.exe on the computer.
4. Copy the 3225.dft file from the temporary directory to the directory that you installed the EES program, Change the name of the file as EES.dft
5. Restart the computer.
6. Launch the application and confirm it's working.
