Hierarchical Data Format is a set of file formats designed to store and organize large amounts of data. Originally developed at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, it is supported by The HDF Group, a non-profit corporation whose mission is to ensure continued development of HDF5 technologies and the continued accessibility of data stored in HDF.

Loading HDF5 from the scientific application stack

Search for all available versions of the application
$ module avail hdf5
Load HDF5 for GCC
$ module load hdf5/1.10.6/gcc-7.5.0
Load HDF5 for INTEL
$ module load hdf5/1.10.6/intel-19.1.0
