A New Look for Microsoft 365, Now Featuring Copilot

Microsoft has redesigned the Microsoft 365 landing page, available at www.office.com or m365.cloud.microsoft. You will see a streamlined interface with Copilot featured prominently to help you get to apps and documents quickly, and to use AI for tasks such as drafting text, summarizing content, and generating ideas.

Important: Copilot Chat is not the same as Copilot for Microsoft 365. Copilot Chat is safe to use with KAUST data inside Microsoft 365. Do not enter KAUST sensitive, internal, or confidential information into Standard Copilot or personal Copilot services. Copilot for Microsoft 365 keeps data within KAUST’s Microsoft 365 tenant and is not yet available. We will announce the launch date once it is confirmed.

Good ways to use Copilot Chat

  • Answering questions and summarizing content you can access in Microsoft 365
  • Drafting, refining, and formatting text for academic, business, or research work
  • Exploring ideas and next steps while staying inside KAUST’s environment

What to avoid with Standard Copilot or personal Copilot services

  • Drafting or summarizing KAUST reports that include internal or confidential information
  • Sharing meeting notes, student information, or personal data
  • Entering regulated, restricted, or export-controlled information
