This guide provides faculty members at KAUST with everything needed to access digital tools, secure systems, and get support. Whether you are teaching, conducting research, or collaborating with teams, KAUST IT is here to help.
Faculty email accounts are hosted on either Gmail or Microsoft Outlook depending on your setup. Use the correct portal below:
The KAUST IT Service Desk is your primary contact for technical support, troubleshooting, and general IT inquiries.
For remote support, you can use TeamViewer Quick Support. No installation or admin access is required.
DUO is required for secure access to KAUST systems and online services.
Use VPN when accessing internal KAUST systems off campus or via a 4G connection.
Important Update: Effective Monday, 29 September 2025, the Cisco AnyConnect client has been replaced with Cisco Secure Client.
If you have not updated yet, visit vpn.kaust.edu.sa. On first connection, the new client will automatically install, remove AnyConnect, and configure your device. Use Cisco Secure Client for all future KAUST VPN connections.
Newly issued KAUST laptops and desktops come with Cisco Secure Client pre-installed. The client is also available in Windows Software Center and macOS Self Service.
If you are using a personal device, visit vpn.kaust.edu.sa and follow the on-screen instructions. The new client installs automatically on first connection.
