There has been an increased amount of persons calling KAUST cell-phone numbers and sending fraudulent SMS’s, pretending to represent local companies, and informing the recipient that they have won monetary, or other valuable prizes.

In nearly all cases these are fraudulent Spam callers and should be ignored immediately.

You can report SMS spam by forwarding it via text to the number 330330. 

It is also best to “block” these numbers, via your phone settings. Remember never provide your Iqama number, or other valuable identification over the phone or email to unknown persons.
