KAUST students, faculty, and employees may have trouble accessing or using some Microsoft 365 services due to a current global service degradation.
Impacted Microsoft 365 Services:
- Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Exchange (Microsoft Outlook)
- SharePoint and OneDrive
- Microsoft Teams
- Power BI/Microsoft Fabric
- Microsoft Power Automate
What You Might Experience:
- Microsoft 365 Suite: Problems accessing Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files on the web, desktop, and mobile apps.
- Microsoft Exchange: Problems accessing email through Outlook on the web, desktop, and mobile apps.
- SharePoint and OneDrive: Search feature may not work properly.
- Microsoft Teams: Trouble with creating or updating events, accessing calendars, using chat, modifying teams or channels, updating presence, searching, and loading files or links.
- Microsoft Power BI: Issues with exporting content and working with Power BI Desktop files.
- Power Automate: Errors when running certain flows on Power Automate for Desktop.
Current Status:
Microsoft has identified the root cause and is in the process of rectifying the issue.
