IT Alert – Restoration of Microsoft 365 Services

Executive Summary:

KAUST students, faculty, and employees may resume using Microsoft 365 services as the impacted service degradation has been resolved by Microsoft.

 

Restored Microsoft 365 Services:

  • Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Exchange (Microsoft Outlook)
  • SharePoint and OneDrive
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Power BI/Microsoft Fabric
  • Microsoft Power Automate

 

Scope of impact:

This issue impacted Microsoft 365 services on a global level; however, some individuals may have experienced varying degrees of impact depending on how they were connecting and what actions they were trying to perform.

End time:

Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM UTC

 

Final Status:

Microsoft has concluded their investigation and confirms services have been restored and the issues have been resolved for all impacted Microsoft 365 systems.
