IT Alert - Service Restored – DUO SMS for passcode

KAUST Community,

The issue affecting DUO SMS passcode delivery has now been resolved. You can once again receive DUO passcodes via SMS as part of the multi-factor authentication process.

When prompted for the DUO Passcode, you can use any of the following options:

  • DUO Push
    Type push in the DUO Passcode field and approve the sign-in request in the DUO Mobile app.
  • DUO Mobile app passcode
    Open the DUO Mobile app, generate a 6-digit passcode, and enter it in the DUO Passcode field.
    Note: This option works even if your phone does not have internet, 4G, or 5G access.
  • SMS passcode
    Type sms in the DUO Passcode field to receive a text message with passcodes, then enter one of the 6-digit codes.
