Microsoft 365 is KAUST’s core digital productivity environment for email, documents, cloud storage, collaboration, and everyday work. It gives you access to familiar tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and more across web, desktop, and mobile.
Whether you are working in the office, classroom, lab, or remotely, Microsoft 365 helps you stay connected, productive, and secure.
A simple way to think about it:
Outlook = email and calendar
OneDrive = your personal work files
SharePoint = team-owned files and shared sites
Teams = chat, meetings, and collaboration
Planner = task tracking
Power Platform = apps, automation, and reporting
Microsoft 365 at KAUST includes productivity apps and cloud services that support communication, file storage, collaboration, planning, and everyday work.

Microsoft 365 is available to all people with a @kaust.edu.sa account, including faculty, staff, researchers, and students.
Note: Multi-factor authentication is required when you are off campus or using mobile data. It is also enforced when you are not connected to iCampus or Uni-Fi, including residential home networks.
All KAUST-managed Windows laptops and desktops come pre-installed with Microsoft 365 applications.
Commonly installed apps include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive, Loop, Access, Visio, and Project.
KAUST-managed Mac devices also come with Microsoft 365 apps where supported.
Native macOS apps commonly include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive, and Loop. Access, Visio, and Project are not available as native Mac apps.
You can use Microsoft 365 from any modern browser through office.com without installing software.
KAUST users can install Microsoft 365 on up to five personal devices by signing in to office.com and selecting Install Office.
Microsoft 365 apps are available on iOS and Android, including Outlook, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. This is useful for email, quick file access, and working on the go.
